Video game trade in

Monday, January 24th, 2011

In this difficult economy, finding the money to buy new video games is becoming more and more of a struggle for many gamers.  Department store prices are high and sometimes a couple of games can cost almost as much as the console itself!

Fortunately, there is an alternative.  The way to get more for your money is to take games that might be sitting around gathering dust and do video games trade in toward the purchase of different titles at your friendly local used video game store.  When you do a video game trade in and receive store credit toward a new purchase, it can greatly reduce or even eliminate the need to come up with actual cash.  When you’re broke and you just have to have that hot new Halo or Call of Duty title, look no further than your own game collection for the solution.

But what if it’s a whole new game console you’re after?  Say you’re tired of the PlayStation 2 system that you’ve had for years, and you want to upgrade to a PlayStation 3 – normally that would set you back quite a bit of money, especially if you want to buy some games to play on your new console.  When you have a whole collection of video game trade in as well as the PS2 console, you could cut your cost in half or even get the PS3 for free (depending on how many PS2 game titles you have available to trade).  Not only does this save you a whole bunch of money, but you won’t have all those old games cluttering up your home and gathering dust.

Even if the game store doesn’t have the game or system console that you’re looking for, you can still do a video game trade in and get cash for them.  Cash is which you can take to a store that does sell what you want to buy.  It’s usually worth your while to buy at the same store where you sell your games though, since the store credit prices given are often higher than cash prices.

In some areas, you may find that there are no used video game stores operating within a convenient driving distance.  That need not be an obstacle though, as you can create a video game trade in through numerous online web sites as well.  When you visit such a site, you will generally type in the titles of the games, accessories, and system consoles you wish to sell and a price quote will be generated.  Some sites will even provide a pre-paid postage label for you to print out so that your items ship for free!  (However, if you are doing a video game trade in for many games or a system of very high value, you will probably want to ship them by an insured and traceable method, such as UPS or FedEx Ground.)

SellVideoGames will buy any of your new video game or used video games. Trade video games are all about getting the most for your hard earned dollars and putting older games back into circulation when you’re done playing them.

Need to Stretch Your Budget? Purchase Used Video Games!

Want to Save Some Money? Purchase Used Video Games!

Playing video games is one of a lot of things I enjoy doing. I play nearly all style there exists. I like single player shoot ‘em ups, and strategy games, and also simulation games. On the other hand, I dislike spending $50 on a game update or a new game.

Because of previews made by game organizations, it makes people salivate like a dog contemplating that an upgrade of something is absolutely going to be amazing… I hate that. Then they don’t inform us that it is not only an expansion pack, yet a whole new version.

Why do these people do this? Generally, an expansion pack is around $20 while an entire new version is about $50.

So what options does it leave a diehard game player? Purchase used video games! I have made the decision that the game designers have gotten enough of my precious dough, after they got me to purchase a game that forces me to spend a higher price for their exclusively compatible game system.

Exactly what locations can you go and find some used video games? Actually, there are numerous spots. Your community Blockbuster rental store is one choice. They’ve got a section of video games, and it is usually categorized by game platforms. You’d be amazed at the number of great games you can find there.

Ebay and Craigslist are some of countless sites you can visit online. On the other hand, I would caution you to be careful with these. Occasionally you receive some thing there which may not work. Both of these web sites do their best to weed out those who are selling items which do not function, yet no one is perfect.

Additionally, there is stores in my area offering used video games. There can be stores inside a retail complex selling used video games.

Even large firms like Game Stop sells used video games.

There’s also a site called Wherehouse (www.wherehouse.com) that provides used video games, and will buy video games from you. If you have a game that you have beaten or are tired of, look it up on their site, and you’ll see how much they will offer you for it.

As opposed to paying a lot of money for brand new shrink wrapped video games, you can wait around a couple of days or even a few weeks, and get used video games at a discount. In my experience it absolutely was a no-brainer!

Raising The Value Of Your Used Video Games

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

You know how it is: you can only enjoy that video game so many times before it’s so foreseeable that there is no struggle, and you cannot face it once more. You used all your money to buy the game, the game you became tired of playing, which left you broke and unable to buy new games. But wait – those used video games might be of value to someone else who has not played it. If you do things right, you can get back some worth from your used video game, and use it to purchase games you have not beaten yet.

Exchange businesses – places that purchase and market used games – are a good way to do this. You can either sell your previously owned video games for cash, or the store will give you credit toward the purchase of something else in the store. However, the sum of money you get for your games could be less than what you hoped for, based on how much traffic comes into the store and how likely the store is to re-sell your game.

On the other hand, if you swap or sell your old used video games in places with more traffic like the world wide web you might be able to get more value for your game. There are now exchange businesses that will purchase and sell on the internet, giving you credit for your used stuff and letting you turn around and purchase other stuff with the credit. What you are doing is called bartering which allows you to buy cash free by selling a good number of used games.

One site that totally does this is Spun.com. Their revolutionary program allows you to determine the value of your game in an instant and earn credits for you to use to buy their merchandise. If you purchase more than three items from their stock they will pay the shipping for you, and if you purchase used items they will send you a box you can use ship all your used items to them. You can also make use of this system to sell your used or old CDs and DVDs, apart from used video games. Spun.com doesn’t spare a single thing as long as it is pre-owned..

Some might be concerned about purchasing used stuff in an online barter/exchange system – and in some instances, that might be a legitimate issue. However, Spun.com explains on their internet site that they only put used merchandise up for sale if it is in excellent condition, and if you get a bad item, they will replace it – even if they have to replace it with a new copy at their expense.. Not all website posts that kind of assurance, that is why it is essential that you look for that kind for assurance or guarantee before you buy or market online.

That said, this kind of online exchange creates a winning scenario, because it gives you a method to reclaim value from your unwanted used video games, plus it’s a method to get more games for little or no money!

The Worth of Your Used Xbox 360 Games

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Even with the graphic clarity and intricate story lines in many Xbox 360 games, you can only enjoy a game so long before it starts to get foreseeable. In the end, the game will stay untouched on the corner for years. You can deal the game in at your nearby game store, but those stores typically don’t give much for them – and new games can get quite expensive. Your used Xbox 360 games might be worth more if you know exactly how to trade them.

The downside of trading games at nearby game stores is the fact the the sector is rather narrow. Supply and demand will influence the price of the video game. If not enough people in town want that particular game, the value drops, plain and simple. Despite the need, the limited copies of the game will also restrict the resellers’ capability to resell the game. Most of these factors will affect the value of your used Xbox 360 games.

An alternative to dealing locally is to use the World wide web. This can be quite useful, because with the Internet, the whole gaming community can be your local industry! In other words, a service provider who does business on the web has the opportunity to sell more things to more people – which means when they are dealing in used merchandise, they can buy more used games from more people, and offer a better price, because they know they can re-sell those games. This can make the trade-in worth of your used Xbox 360 games greater, because the “local” market is much bigger.

A website called Spun.com is actually harnessing the power of the Internet in just this manner. In the hopes of capitalizing from a cashless exchange business this company will offer an excellent price not only for your pre-owned video games for your used CDs and DVDs as well along with a credit to enable you to purchase items from them; when you sell a great number of items you might be able to purchase an item cash free. If you purchase at least three items from them, they’ll pay for delivery for your used products, and if you buy from their used stock, they’ll even send you a box to pack your used stuff in! Of course, if you’d rather save your store credit history for later, or cash it out, you can do that, too.

Thus, by discovering a bigger market to sell in, you can boost the worth of your used Xbox 360 games, which makes your hard-earned money stretch farther so you can purchase more games more easily.

What is the best thing to do with my video games used?

Well, I used a lot of games, and I want to get rid of money. Good, sorta. the money I spent on video games anyway, so I'm just curious.

Well actually you can not go shopping at the best prices, many people return games and do not store values only if u bring in Gamestop and EB games tend to give the best Blockbuster trade tends to be lower at least around me. Seniors or rare games, you can always sell on eBay or something, the newer games that are easy to find, not worth it though. Either that, or if you have friends who are willing to buy, probly can get more than a store and you can still pay less than they normally shop.
